As much as I'm successful in my own career, I only began to feel successful when the relationships in my family began to improve. My teenage sons have had a difficult time growing up together, especially because the one is gifted at sports. As I have begun to change my language pattern, I have noticed that they have also changed the language pattern in communicating with each other. When I walked into my child’s room to see the older sibling holding a cricket bat above, my younger son's head, I knew I needed to do something differently to support them. I now have different skills at my disposal: skills to resolve conflict, skills to empower, skills to engage cooperation, and skills to support them in nurturing their relationship to each other. Fritz
